Local Labor member for Shortland, Pat Conroy today announced that a re-elected Albanese Labor Government will provide funding towards the expansion of the Vedic Samiti Temple in Cardiff South, helping to deliver a new all-weather dining space for the growing local Hindi community.
This $90,000 election commitment will contribute to the extension of the temple’s current dining area, which has outgrown the needs of the regular prayer services and community gatherings.
This will help turn many years of community effort into reality. The project will create a sheltered and purpose-built area between the temple buildings, giving devotees a weather-protected space for meals, prayer, and events.
Consistent with past practice, election commitments will be delivered in line with Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles.
